Toss your TV!

Toss your TV!

Watching television is one of the worst activities we can partake in as a practitioner of the Dharma. For this reason I would like to share some TV statistics with you all.

The average American watches 4 hrs and 35 minutes of TV per day

The average TV is on 6 hrs and 47 minutes a day

99% of Americans have a TV

Watching TV makes people crave possessions three times the average amount

For each hour of TV watched one’s personal contentment decreases on average by 5%

By the end of elementary school an average child will have seen 8,000 murders on TV

By the age of 18 a person will have seen over 200,000 violent acts committed on TV

By the age of 65 an average American will have seen 2 million commercials on TV

BY THE AGE OF 65 THE AVERAGE AMERICAN WILL HAVE WATCH 9 YEARS OF TV

Think about it…

Oh my! I had no idea it was this bad. I guess that’s why we don’t have the T.V on very much.

Love and light to you all.
