Meditation Balance

“The two perfections in meditation, meditative stabilization and insight are concepts at the center of the ‘Middle Way’ philosophy.”

As a cancer patient, I find mediative stabilization essential for the endurance of the multitude of medical procedures one is subjected to in order to survive. I use meditative insight to cultivate the most essential activities for the time I have left and meditative analysis to try and correct the the mistakes I make on the way.

The Dalai Lama meets yearly with doctors, scientists, and philosophers, and they use medical imaging to study  the medical benefits of meditation. These studies are published regularly in medical journals.
