Daily Dharma Quote: On Courage

A screepcap of the cowardly lion form "The Wizzard of Oz"

A screencap of the cowardly lion, from "The Wizard of Oz"

It’s Monday morning and I’m not necessarily looking forward to the rest of the week.  Again, I repeat; it’s Monday, people.  How ridiculous.  What am I afraid of?  Only people, places and things.  But I’m going to put my fight face happy face on, breath and embrace all of the upcoming challenges.  Gonna squeeze those lemons people.  And hopefully by Friday night , I’ll be kicking back and enjoying a tall glass of whiskey lemonade.

And with that, I’ll leave you with this:

Courage is the ladder on which all other virtues mount.”

~ Clare Booth Luce

…and one more thing before I go…

“Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the judgment that something else is more important than fear.”

~ Ambrose Redmoon
