Buddhism Art Dance performance - Thousand-Handed Avalokitesvara
Greetings fellow seekers of enlightenment! There’s no better way to start your day than with some internet link action. With that in mind, I stumbled across the story of this beautiful and inspiring dance troupe while trecking across the diverse and plentiful landscape that is the inter-web. This particular photo is of a performance by the Chinese Disabled Performing Arts Troupe, which is comprised completely of deaf performers. Check out the incredible video after the jump for their amazing and brilliant choreography!!!
So apparently it has taken this company over TEN YEARS to hone such a high level of perfection. Are you surprised? Well you shouldn’t be. Though I think I could have gotten it down in five, (I kid). But seriously, I can’t even imagine what the training for such precision would entail. The grueling hours of practice and then having to start all over again when the dancer in front of you sneezes! Ha!
There’s some behind-the-scenes action at the end of the video, but unfortunately I left my “Chinese For Dummies” workbook at home, so if anyone out there is fluent and would like to earn some extra karma points, by all means translate the last bit, thank you!
Namaste my friends.
Amazing! Thank you!
